More than a change

For me, it started with this message.

This election ought to be about the issues, and, in some ways, the way to victory was through that big magilla of an issue, the economy. And the victory was due to an extraordinary campaign of an ambitious man who knows how to execute, knows how to surround himself with the right people. And those are some of the harsh realities of living in today's world.

But honestly, for me, it was really about walking away from the cynicism and the apathy of our times, and recapturing the greatness and the purpose of this country.
It's not a collection of truly inspiring speeches, it's the effort we all have to make for the next four years to find a way to work together and set this nation to rights. It is, for all of us...

"what we can achieve to put their hands on the arc of history and bend it once more toward the hope of a better day.... " ~~Barack Obama

Yes, we can.

"Yes we can to justice and equality.

Yes we can to opportunity and prosperity.

Yes we can heal this nation.

Yes we can repair this world.

Yes we can.

We know the battle ahead will be long, but always remember that no matter what obstacles stand in our way, nothing can stand in the way of the power of millions of voices calling for change."

I believe in us.

I believe in us, too. We, the people can change the direction of this country and economy. Perhaps he is the leader we need right now.

I don't envy his immediate task.
