Greek for a day

What fun it was to overcommit myself to "do-gooding" this weekend. On Saturday night, I was with my team for "Light The Night" - a short fundraising walk followed by a candle-lighting ceremony at the George Steinbrenner stadium here in Tampa. An inspiring event to help the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Yesterday, I was Greek for a day at the St. John's Greek Festival in Tampa. What fun it was! I was taking tickets, so I got to meet everyone. The world's most delicious food and everyone in high spirits, just what I need. Proceeds from the festival are shared by the church with the neighboring Lifepath Hospice, another charity of choice for me.

OPA!

Nothing better than authentic Greek food! We lived near the Greek Orthodox church in Little Rock and used to go to their festival every year.

Quid,

I am really glad to hear that you enjoyed yourself. As well as that I appreciated the pictures of the Greek festival.
