Today's Poem is From Rilke

A Walk

My eyes already touch the sunny hill,

going far ahead of the road I have begun.

So we are grasped by what we cannot grasp;

it has its inner light, even from a distance----

and changes us, even if we do not reach it,

into something else, which, hardly sensing it, we already are;

a gesture waves us on, answering our own wave...

but what we feel is the wind in our faces.

~Rainer Maria Rilke

I'm always touched by Rilke's poetry... this one is a favorite. It feels like you are scrutinizing your own horizons.

I really like this. It reminds me in part of a couple of my favorite Bible verses.

I'm also enjoying your magnets in the sidebar.

I love this one, Quid. Rilke is a deeply spiritual poet/writer and his writings always make me think. (BTW, I loved the poem you removed...it was amazing!) Love & Blessings!
