SINKHOLE!!

I have a good commute of about 12 miles but it is all graded side streets, no highways. Here's what happened this week:

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY --
A major Tampa intersection twice shutdown by a sinkhole has reopened right before midnight Tuesday night.
Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputies and other emergency crews returned to the Tampa intersection where a sinkhole reopened.
Officials reopened the intersection of Fletcher and Nebraska Avenues once Monday night after a sinkhole was discovered.
Crews returned to the sight when it was determined the sinkhole reopened early Tuesday.
The sinkhole was approximately six feet in diameter and approximately eight feet deep.
Crews assessed the sinkhole and diverted traffic from the intersection for most of the day Tuesday.

OK, so it opened and they fixed it and it opened again. Now they fixed it again. I'm supposed to drive over it??? C'mon! All this rain has taken its toll on our roads. It took me 1 hour and 40 minutes to get to work yesterday.

I know you told me about it, but actually SEEING it makes it even scarier!!! Aren't there enough dangers out there without worrying about losing your car in a hole??

Crazy!

I drove over the "fix" last night.
So foolhardy.
But, the sinkhole is gone, for now.
